A toddler was seriously injured in a hit and run in southeast Calgary on Monday morning.
Alberta EMS and police said paramedics were called to the 0 to 100 block of Deerfield Villas S.E. after 10:30 a.m.
According to police, the 17-month-old girl was taken to the Alberta Children’s Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
Police said there was no indication an adult or parent was hit by the vehicle.

The child was playing outside with her 17-year-old sister at the time of the crash. The toddler’s sister described the vehicle involved as being green.
Police added that they believe the vehicle is a dark-coloured or possibly green SUV.
Police said the driver may not have realized they hit the child, and are asking for the driver, or anyone who may have seen a green vehicle in the area at the time of the crash, to call them at 403-266-1234.
